Impala Bolt & Nut was founded in 1988 as a South African owned and independently-run bolt and nut manufacturing company, providing standard and specialised fastener solutions, coupled with industry-leading customer service within the engineering, automotive, industrial and mining sectors.

Since then, Impala Bolt & Nut has grown significantly, diversifying into new markets and developing new products to position ourselves as a valuable supply chain partner for leading companies nationwide. We do this by continuously striving for improvement in every area of operation. As such, we continue to invest in the expansion of manufacturing capabilities and the introduction of new manufacturing technologies while strengthening our existing expertise to meet our customers’ needs.
Advanced Facilities
In recognition of the trend of the automotive industry to source more products locally, Impala Bolt & Nut has further bolstered our systems and manufacturing processes to cater specifically for this market. Following this development, we were audited and approved by companies supplying the automotive sector of South Africa. This approval demonstrates that our operations meet all compliance requirements and is based on a thorough consideration of sustainability issues.
Our 6 000 square metre factory consists of a full-complement of facilities to provide the full solution, from the design of the product according to client specifications, to the manufacture of the product, including rigorous testing for quality conformity, and distribution. Our premises comprise over 20 high-end machines, including a part former, weighing approximately 60 tonnes, which can manufacture items up to 200mm long and has the versatility to manufacture both standardised and specialised products. We also have an in-house tooling department equipped with advanced precision cutting and custom tooling machines.

All of our raw material is sourced directly from primary producers for production, which is monitored from coil form, right through to the finished product, with full traceability throughout.
As a member of the South African Fasteners Manufacturers’ Association (SAFMA), we also enjoy access to best practice information, networks, training and resources to help us deliver products in compliance with company, customer and government requirements that meet the required quality specifications.
