Humble Beginnings
Founded in 1988, Impala started off primarily supplying the construction industry, and over the years grew to supply general engineering, mining, renewable energy and automotive industries.
Initially employing only a handful of people, Impala has today grown to become a significant force in the South African fastener industry.
We have supplied many prestigious projects in various industries, and established ourselves as a professional, reliable supplier of high quality products suitable for a variety of standard and specialised applications.
State of the Art Facilities
From our modest 2,000 square metre premises in Makriel Road, Germiston, we have grown in leaps and bounds to now occupy 10,000 square meters in our current home at Nagington Road Wadeville.
To ensure suitability, various significant upgrades and refurbishments to our factory, testing laboratory, offices and warehouse have facilitated continued growth and investment in manufacturing capabilities.

Managing Director, Derek Cohen, is particularly pleased with development over the last 7 years which included:
• Implementation of an ISO 9001 Quality Management System
• Migration onto a sophisticated Microsoft ERP system, and
• Installation of additional plant and equipment to enable development and production of many new parts.
Constant investment in staff training and skills development has ensured that Impala is able to meet the ever-demanding requirements of our customers.
